Atheism.

I've always told people that I am an atheist. Well, not always... since I was brought up a Christian (which the thought of makes me feel slightly ill). But as I was researching philosophers for my sixth course 'Philosophy and Ethics' course, I came across the British philosopher Ayer. He rejected Atheism, saying that he believed religious language was unverifiable and as such nonsense. This made me realise that telling people 'I do not believe in God' was ridiculous, as it still proposed the idea that a God existed to choose to believe in. So from now on, when I am asked 'Do you believe in God?' i will reply 'How can I, when one doesn't exist?' I am not sure how this will be received...
